Please join us to support the Equality Community Center, Maine’s first and only LGBTQ+ and social justice-focused community hub providing a safe haven and support for marginalized communities across the state. The Rainbow Affair will be a celebration of our major accomplishments since our founding in 2015, and all funds raised will help ensure a sustainable future of programming and operations for the Center.

If you cannot attend, please consider making a regrets donation to support the event and help us realize our vision for a safe and welcoming community center and affordable housing for LGBTQ+ older adults.
Your support of The Rainbow Affair will help us to:
break ground on Maine’s first affordable housing complex for LGBTQ+ older adults
finish renovations at our new home in downtown Portland
develop new, dynamic, and impactful programs to support the most marginalized in our community, including but not limited to LGBTQ+ youth and elders, trans and non-binary folks, immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and BIPOC Mainers.
sustain the operations of the Center which provides quality office, meeting and event space for 18 LGBTQ+ and allied social justice-focused non-profit organizations and community programs.
