ABOUT THE ECC LIBRARY

Our collection is 100% donation-based. Our goal is to represent the diversity of LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and perspectives, as well as other minority and marginalized communities in Maine and beyond.

All are welcome to browse, borrow, and share. Please spread the word - this library is for everyone!

LOCATION AND HOURS

The ECC Library is accessible Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm. It is located within the ECC, off to the left of the Great Room (the main room when you first walk in).

HOW TO BORROW BOOKS

  1. Visit the Equality Community Center (ECC).

  2. Check in with a greeter at the front desk, who will direct you to the library. (The library is located behind the cafeteria area in the Great Room.)

  3. Once you’ve chosen your books, check them out with the greeter. (An email address is required for our system.)

  4. To return books, place books on the top shelf of the return cart (located just outside of the library).

  5. To renew books, check in with the greeter at the front desk.
