The Equality Community Center (ECC) is Maine’s first and only LGBTQ+ and social justice-focused community center. With your support we will be able to:
open Maine’s first affordable senior housing complex with services for LGBTQ+ older adults in the summer of 2026
finish renovations at our new home in downtown Portland
develop new, dynamic, and impactful programs to support the most marginalized in our community, including but not limited to LGBTQ+ youth and elders, trans and non-binary folks, immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and BIPOC Mainers.
sustain the operations of the Center which provides quality office, meeting and event space for 16 LGBTQ+ and allied social justice-focused non-profit organizations and community programs.
