Help us welcome our new neighbors to the Equality Commons! 

We are so excited to open up Equality Commons Maine’s first affordable senior housing community with supportive services for LGBTQ+ older adults this Summer! Affordable, centralized housing has been a longstanding need for seniors in Maine and current conditions have amplified that need. In response to this growing crisis, we constructed Equality Commons, adjacent to the Equality Community Center. 

The building’s proximity to the ECC will give residents a permanent, safe place to live and support services they need to age in place. The Commons will provide inclusive housing for all, regardless of orientation, along with support services and affirming programming for LGBTQ+ older adults.
