Prevention Action Change, is working in collaboration with Southern Maine Workers' Center, and Presente! Maine to offer training for area businesses in how to prepare for and respond to unconstitutional federal searches in the workplace.
The 4th Amendment says that law enforcement from any agency must show a warrant signed by a judge, showing the name and address of the person under investigation, before entering a private residence or establishment. Workplace detentions, and detentions overall, are rising across the US.
Here in Cumberland County, there were over 60 people detained in ICE custody at our local jail at the latest count. Many federal agents doing workplace immigration arrests in 2025 have been violating the 4th Amendment.
