Join us for the opening reception of local Maine fashion designer, Andrew Lygo-Yarn, as he shares his New York Fashion Week collection! This runway collection is called “Created In My Own Image.”

This art installation contains all of the pieces, sketches and research that went into this NYFW runway collection, along with tons of content that did not make it onto the runway.

The aim for Created In My Own Image was to reframe trans bodies and trans medical experiences with the love and joy that is shared within the trans community. Pieces were inspired by community submissions of scars, letters to younger selves and the artist's own experience as a transgender man. Transgender folks from all across the country have contributed their experiences to this collection.
