“Come See Me in the Good Light” Documentary Screening
This incredible documentary is coming out on November 14th and yes, you could watch it at home with an apple TV subscription, but it feels like Andrea Gibson would want us to gather in community, to support our queer and trans community, and to be together as we witness Andrea and their spouse Megan Falley navigate their terminal cancer diagnosis.
So on November 22nd at 4PM, we’re going to do exactly that. We will gather in community, watch the film together, listen to a couple of their poems, write notes and words of encouragement for our trans community, and just be together.
Andrea Gibson is one of the most poignant voices of our time. Their words cut to the quick of grief, fear, beauty, love, mental health, illness, tenderness, authenticity, spirituality and living fully. Let us come together to honor their legacy and their journey approaching death with reverence for life and love for their wife.
Proceeds from all ticket sales as well as snacks and beverages sold on-site will go to MaineTrans.Net. We will also be accepting Clothing Donations for MaineTrans.Net’s Safe Combinations Thrift Store, and Food Drive Donations for Wayside Food Programs.
Please join us. Tickets are $11.11 each and can be purchased here.
